Weymouth manager Brian Stock hoping to end long winless run in the National League against Hartlepool United

The Terras currently sit 21st in the table having won just two of their opening 16 matches since being promoted from the National League South last season. In contrast, Pools are back in action for the first time in two weeks as they look to stay second with a fifth straight win.
The Weymouth manager has been analysing Dave Challinor’s side ahead of this weekend’s encounter at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

“It’s a formation where, if things are going well, it’s a hard one to combat but we’ve done well against the so-called bigger teams in form.
“Whether that’s a psychological thing, I don’t know. It’s a work in progress, but we go into the game with all the positives of recent results against teams that are flying high.
“We raise our game against the top teams, but we still have to play teams in and around us – Barnet, Dover, Dagenham, King’s Lynn.

“We’ve still got 28 games left. There’s plenty of football to be played.”
Weymouth have a familiar face to Pools in their ranks after defender Myles Anderson made the switch to the south coast after leaving Victoria Park last May. The 31-year-old centre-back has been limited to just two league appearances so far this season and is unlikely to feature as he’s currently recovering from a rib injury.
