Middlesbrough will face a trip to Southampton if they can beat Tottenham Hotspur in their third-round FA Cup replay.

Jonathan Woodgate’s side will travel to North London next week after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at the Riverside Stadium.

Boro took the lead against Jose Mourinho’s Spurs side through Ashley Fletcher before Lucas Moura’s equaliser forced a replay for the visitors.

If the Teessiders do beat Tottenham, they will travel to St Mary's on the weekend starting Friday, January 24.

Boro will pocket £135,000 if they progress past the third-round stage.

Clubs which win their fourth-round ties will collect £180,000 from the FA prize fund.

The Saints are 12th in the Premier League and have won three of their last four league games.

Southampton reached the fourth round of the competition after a 2-0 win over Huddersfield courtesy of goals from Will Smallbone and Jake Vokins.
