That can be anything from weight loss to being more active.

But the main thing is that people will be getting support from the experts.

Faye Guy, health trainer team leader in the Hartlepool Health Trainer Service, explained why it is so important to get support.

She said: “If you are thinking about starting to lose weight or be more active, but don’t know where to start, then look no further. Hartlepool Borough Council Health Trainer Service is here for you.”

There are five health trainers in town, offering a free service to anyone living or working in Hartlepool.

People can refer themselves or be referred by their GP, a health professional or by other council or health services.

Support is on offer to anyone over 18. Private one-to-one appointments and group sessions are available.

People on the course will look at the foods they eat, portion control, food labelling, fats, sugars, and salt.
