Stealing clothes worth £290 from JD Sports, drug driving and using train without ticket: 9 cases heard by magistrates

The following cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Kevin John Howlett, 37, of Elwick Court, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to stealing clothing valued at £290 for JD Sport. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £290 in compensation.

Robson David Curry, 22, of Front Street East, Wingate, pleaded guilty to diving whilst over the drug limit, without insurance and without a licence. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge. He was banned from driving for three years.

Reece Peacock, 19, of Flodden Way, Billingham, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge. He was also banned from driving for 37 months.

Kevin Rapley, 42, of Vickers Lane, Seaton Carew, was fined £426 after he admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £42 surcharge.

Michael Reed, 30, of Manespool Close, Hartlepool, was fined £220 after it was proved in absence that he rode a train without paying for a ticket. He was ordered to pay compensation of £4.80, costs of £150 and a surcharge of £32.

Andrey Vishnewvskiy, 53, of Kipling Road, Hartlepool, was fined £40 after he admitted using a colour television without a licence. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Stephen Young, 38, of Rossall Street, Hartlepool, was fined £220 after it was proved in absence that he rode a train without a ticket. He was ordered to pay £4.80 in compensation, £149.98 in costs and a surcharge of £32.

Mark Turnbull, 38, of Cornwall Street, Hartlepool, was fined £40 after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was told to pay £40 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Ryan Neil Parker, 24, of Kerr Grove, Hartlepool, was jailed for ten days after he admitted breaching a supervision order.
